Caught up between the 2 choices of raymond weil & ball watches, any suggestion?

i'm about to buy a new automatic watch(1st time). I've narrowed down to 2 choices the raymond weil freelancer open dial, black dial & black strap. The 2nd choice is the ball engineer master II aviator. The consideration behind raymond weil freelancer is that the brand recognition and design, i guess its bout exlusivity, perhaps a little bit of flaunting. The Ball Aviator was because its practical and cost almost 20% lesser the price of the Freelancer, plus the luminous tube looks cool during the night, so its practical and value for money, but lack the brand recognition. this is my 1st auto mid range pricing watch, so I was thinkng, should i go for exclusivity & will be wearing it for a long long time ( RW - freelancer) or should i go for value and practicality and cool luminous (Ball Aviator). since spenidng anything above USD200 above for a watch is more of a jewelry rather a timepiece telling time, else getting a quartz digital watch has way more functions
