Capacitor...?

I have a HIfonics Brutus BXI1206D amp thats 1200 watts rms 1ohm stable. I know the general rule of thumb is 1 Farad per 1000 watts peak. I've found a 3 Farad capacitor i'd like to have and my question is, will too big of a capacitor harm the system?
