What does the average Jew in Israel section do on Shabbath?

I do what I have to do, G-d understands. Jerusalem is closed but Tel Aviv is open. My town (Beer Sheva), just started to open stores on Shabbat prior to my leaving in 2004. btw: I would appreciate you referring to us as "average Jewish person" rather than "average Jew", thanks.
