Is anyone else completely disillusioned with the legal system? ?

From local and federal law enforcement to courts, jails, prisons, etc. all I see is corruption, abuse of power, gross human rights abuses, racism... It seems that the legal system has very little to do with actual justice. It's so depressing. I would like to donate my time and skills (I'm poor so I can't donate my money) to making the legal system better. does anyone know where I can start?
